Origin of Lu

There are two surnames of Lu (Lǔ): one is named after Ji , who was the younger brother of King Zhou Wu, named after the country; the other is changed from other ethnic groups. In ancient times, the State of Lu had relatively large fiefdoms, including the current areas of Shandong Zixian and Jiangsu Peixian and Anhui Sixian. In 256 BC, Lu was destroyed by Chu, and his descendants were forced to move to Xiayi (now east of Bishan County, Anhui Province). After that, they were occupied by the Qi Kingdom. Now most of them are located in Zhuanggang Town, Lingang District, Linyi City, Shandong Province.

Ancestor

Ji Dan. Also known as Zhougong , Zhougongdan , brother of King Zhou Wu, one of the three grandfathers in early Zhou. He was the great general of Zhou Wuwang Keshang when he died. At the beginning of the week, King Zhou Wu was sealed by the princes, and Zhou Gongdan was closed to the state of Lu (the capital is in Qufu, Shandong Province today), making it one of the richest places in the world. After Zhou Gongdan was sealed, he wanted to stay in Beijing to assist the government, but he sent his son Baiji to seal Lu. It was passed down from the 34th generation to 2556 BC that when the king of Lu was ruled, the kingdom of Lu was destroyed by the state of Chu , and his descendants then took the country as the family name and called the family name Lu. They respected Ji Dan as the ancestor of the surname Lu.
