The Manchu ancestors took clan and tribe as units, and perched between "White Mountain and Black Water" and lived primitive fishing and hunting life. After a long period of time, it has developed the production of primitive agriculture and animal husbandry. Today, the Manchus are scattered all over the country, most of them living in Liaoning Province. Others are scattered in Jilin, Heilongjiang, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Gansu, Shandong and other provinces. The Manchu history is speculated to date back to 7000 years ago in the Sushen Xinkailiu culture and the Chayachong culture. Su Shen, Luo Lou, Beji, Dong, Bohai, Jurchen are the same ancestors of modern Manchu. Heishuiyu was a direct ancestor of the Manchu, and later developed into a Jurchen.
