Youth study

Li Guangyao, a Han nationality of Han nationality, was born in Dangxi Township, Gaojiao Town, Dapu County, Meizhou City, Guangdong.

Lee Kuan Yew received a British education from an early age. At the age of 12 (1935) he was admitted to the top local British school Raffles College (junior high school). At the age of 18 (1940) he was admitted to the high school of the original school, but after the Japanese occupation of Singapore Interrupt your studies. After the war, Lee Kuan Yew won the Queen's Scholarship for the British Empire and began studying in the UK.

In the early days of studying in the United Kingdom, Lee Kuan Yew studied at the London School of Economics and was influenced by his mentor Lasky's socialist theory while studying. Participate in politics

In September 1950, Li Guangyao married his classmate Ke Yuzhi at Raffles College. Ke Yuzhi was a prestigious lawyer who was born in Tongan County, Fujian Province, China. Li Guangyao and his wife Ke Yuzhi have three children: the eldest son Li Xianlong , the second son Li Xianyang, and the daughter Li Weiling.

In 1950, Lee Kuan Yew in the United Kingdom joined the Malayan Forum, a group of Southeast Asians living in the country, with the goal of "striving for Malayan independence." In August of the same year, Lee Kuan Yew returned to Singapore and began working as a lawyer.

In 1952, Lee Kuan Yew became famous for negotiating with the government on behalf of the "postman on strike in Singapore" and established a mass foundation in the union, laying a foundation for his future political career.

The People's Action Party participated in the first election held the following year. Lee Kuan Yew was successfully elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly. On June 3, 1959, the Singapore Autonomous State was established, and the People's Action Party also became the largest party in the Legislative Assembly in the first election of the Autonomous State Government, with Lee Kuan Yew as the Prime Minister of the Autonomous State Government. Since then, Lee Kuan Yew has been hoping to merge with Malayan Confederation to form "Malaysia" in order to provide guarantee for Singapore's economic development and finally to eradicate the growing "CPM" power in the local area.

In 1961, the "anti-Communist" led by Lee Kuan Yew broke up with the "pro-communist" within the party.

In July 1963, Lee Kuan Yew reached an agreement with the Malayan Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman (Tungku Raman) government in London. The combined Malaysian Federal Government and the Singapore Autonomous Government, led by Lee Kuan Yew, took action and arrested several senior officials of the "CPM" in Singapore. In 1964, when ethnic riots broke out in Singapore, the Lee Kuan Yew government accused Malaysian Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman and the federal government of trying to promote "racial chauvinism" in an attempt to give Malays special high treatment in the Federation and to incite behind the scenes Malays in Singapore oppose the Singapore government. Died of illness
