What is a CD tray card?
The printed insert that goes under the tray in a CD jewel case and wraps around both edges. If the printed cover of the jewel case is only a single piece of paper rather than a booklet, it is often known as the front tray card. See jewel case.
How do CD trays work?
The most common of the three, the tray loading mechanism, is made of a plastic tray driven by rubber belts and gears. The tray moves in and out when the eject button is pushed. When open, a gentle push of the tray can also retract the tray.
Can you put a CD in a paper shredder?
Yes, some paper shredders are able to shred CDs and DVDs besides confidential documents. These shredders are equipped with a separate slot to shred compact disks into small ‘unreadable’ pieces.
