Tibetans: Happy Sunshine Companion (Photos)
The name of the "Elunchun" family began in the literature records of the early Qing Dynasty. For example, "Oltun" and "Russian Spring" were finally called "Olenchun". Regarding the meaning of Oroqen's name, there are two kinds of sayings: One is "the person who lives on the mountain". Because the Oroqen language refers to the "top of the mountain" as "Oroen" and "people" as "chun"; the second is that they also call the reindeer "Oroen". Therefore, "Oroqen" also means "people using reindeer". A major feature of the social development of the Elunchun nationality is that after the founding of the People's Republic of China, the primitive society directly transferred to the primary stage of socialism.
